The Hitmakers Day Out

Guitarist magazine this month has an interview with Rodgers where he says it's a conservative estimate to say that guitar has been used to write songs that have generated $2 BILLION. So, yeah, I can imagine what he felt like when he left it on the train....!

Wow what a story, all the ingredients are there, hope, fear, loss, and finally reunification.
Every story is about people, very humbling and very human.
Good people met along the way...
I love the lagoon picture at the end of his post, philosophical too

There's something faintly surreal about a guy getting on the train with a '59 Strat (any '59 Strat let alone that particular one...) in a very ordinary gig bag - I guess ultimately making it look like Just Another Guitar rather than locking it up in the guitar case equivalent of a Smith and Wesson high security briefcase chained to your wrist is probably as secure as anything this side of an armoured car, but still, considering the degree of angst that some of us feel about how we transport relatively very ordinary stuff....
Don't ask me, I just play the damned thing...
