Just a memory now.

It was another button under each post (along with LOL, Wow, Wisdom).

Each of those gives you a fret to your score, but facepalms lowered your score by one.

All was fine, some were used in jest, some used with hate...and then the great facepalm war of 2013 started. It was all over quite quickly though when someone complained and the facepalming function was removed (much like the UN stepping in and disarming all sides).

It's now a lovely happy peaceful place

Facepalm was superseded by voodoo and one or two other dark arts as the favoured means of showing disapproval of a post.

The facepalm button didn't work properly and so was replaced with the quote button which is 100% defect free.

I think Facepalm was a button under Drew_FX's posts which you clicked on to indicate you'd read it... judging by the amount he picked up in a very short time.
