Actually they aren't that much to buy new so I think I may as well go to Guitarbox and order some. I trust they are ok to deal with? I haven't heard of them before

I have just bought a few from guitar box. Make sure you order the right type- either tightrope or others but they need to match your cable type. Guitar box have a 10% off deal atm

Ah that was one of my questions to them. What is the tightrope range? Does it need to use it's own relevant cable etc? I have some Lava cable left over from my last patch cable session

The Tightrope is Lava's budget range. Uses solid core cable and 2 piece plugs. Mini-ELC (or Ultramafic cable as well) is stranded cable and 3 piece plugs.

That's interesting I got the impression that it was the better option than the mini ELC range. Less fiddly too. What do you guys think who have used both types?

I bought a tightrope kit with solid core ultramafic cable and 2 piece plugs. Seems fine to me but as I say, make sure you get the right type of plugs for your cable.... I didn't! Wiser now

Yes I spoke to the guy at guitarbox earlier today and he said the same. I'll buy the correct cable For the jacks too. Cheap enough by the foot
