Personally I'm not, because I fully intend to spend every last bastard hard-earned penny I can before I shuffle off, so no thieving bastard government can rob it off my family, but there you go.

Oh yes, that means I won't be leaving anything to my son, but as I've told him, it simply means he'll have to plan accordingly to deal with it. It shouldn't be problem as he doesn't drink, so he's likely to have far more money available.

Fuck me, I'm glad I live in the "Grim Up North" where house prices mean that me dearly departed Mum's house won't ever appreciate to IHT levels when me and my brothers get to inherit it from her partner! He got pretty much everything on the proviso that we get it once he goes (written into both her and his wills), and thankfully he's an honest man so no coke and hookers binges so far

We'll get a family home to either flog off between us or move into, and a fair amount (small to some) amount to play with and buy toys, and that'll be nice.
