Interparcel - do the quotes vary from day to day?

It's not only Interparcel that do it, the Post Office are just as bad. I've been on their website, checked weights and dimensions for a price, only to find it's different when I get to the Post Office. Then I've had to argue at the counter, sometimes successfully, most times not.

I tested this:

last week sent a guitar on monday, £39.90 incl insurance to £500

same quote for this monday

did on tuesday instead for £26.34

All the same UPS service

just supply & demand on a monday I suspect

I found that the length for guitars around the 100-120cm mark make a difference. Have a fiddle with those numbers and you'll see it change. They never really bother to measure it anyway.
