As ICBM says the amp sounds great - the speakers are... mediocre.

Years ago a guitar buddy had the amp section in a home-made head box that he partnered with a 2x12in cab (Celestion Blues IIRC) and it sounded epic for his raw, British blues rock stuff (early Fleetwood Mac, Groundhogs, early Cream etc).
