I've just spend the afternoon running through songs for tonight dep gig -  all of them sound great.

The KoT is very smooth, responsive and amp like - sounds really thick and works nicely for mid gain rhythm and lead sounds.   

The Jouster is higher gain and sounds like more grainy but I need to experiment more with the 3 position slider above each channel,  it's going to do very nicely for higher gain rhythm and leads.  

Not sure how the rust driver will pan out - it has one sound that reminds me of cranked 70's marshall with a half cocked wah - I've just been using it as an extra booster into KoT and I think it will work better that way than on it's own.        

I'll see how they all work when I can really turn the amp up

Apparently swapping valves in the Jouster makes a massive difference. 

@JohnPerry has experimented along these lines.

Thanks - that's Interesting and something I might try when I have time but as it is now it sounds awesome.

I have experimented with that very box. It's my old Jouster! You can tame the gain a bit and get the thing a little smoother using a 12at7 instead of 12ax7 IIRC. It was always a bit high gain for me. The Minstrel suits me better and is sublime

wow - small world indeed.     If I decide to move it on at some point, hopefully it'll stay in the forum.

Funny thing with both the KoT and the jouster,  I made the classic error of listening to more clips after paying for them and half decided I had made a mistake and they didn't sound so good.    Through the baby Bogner they have both exceeded expectations and sound fab.    I'm using this rig instead of my evh and big board tonight and I suspect it will sound even better with the fender twin.
