Forum Rabies Scanning For New Members?

What is it with people signing up, usually those who are here solely (or at least mainly) to sell, who place an ad without the correct info and get advised to add more detail and react like you've shit on their kids?  Is there any sane person who thinks that sort of attitude would go down well anywhere?  A lot of the time the advice actually comes for admin and such reactions would probably result in an instant ban elsewhere.

Everyone was a new member once but it seems likely that thouse who get along and stick around adhere in the main to rule one... at least for a few days anyway.
