  • It is clearly just a storage room.

It'd take far too much effort to move all those little combos out of the way to get to the 412B cabs. :)

It almost looks like an amp 'face off' before some form of battle.

    Blackface v Tweed - where's your money?
    Tweed.

Blackface would be all refined and offer a choice of weapons at dawn.

Tweed would already have snuck out a shiv and planted it right in the neck.

I, for one, know I would make no apologies for making my hobby my job and surrounding myself with lovely toys like them. Good for him. Living the dream.

    Left bottom corner?

Could be a Boogie Mark of some description, has the right grill cloth.

  • And to think we were wondering why he had to charge £120 a ticket.
You know as well as I do, thats nothing to do with him.

No, I don't because to say it's NOTHING to do with him is patently untrue - but let's not get sidetracked as we had a thread discussing that.

Bloody hell, that was well-spotted! Next time I'm in a haystack looking for a needle, you'll be the first person I call.

see if that was my room I would just use the one amp that sounded the best and get rid of the rest.
The Bigsby was the first successful design of what is now called a whammy bar or tremolo arm, although vibrato is the technically correct term for the musical effect it produces. In standard usage, tremolo is a rapid fluctuation of the volume of a note, while vibrato is a fluctuation in pitch. The origin of this nonstandard usage of the term by electric guitarists is attributed to Leo Fender, who also used the term “vibrato” to refer to what is really a tremolo effect.

I saw that, more likely a Kelley me thinks.. Also got a badge that points to one in the bottom right corner of the grille.

Yeah in retrospect probably not a Mark given you can't see a switch or light that far across on the top panel. Ah well, for about 10 minutes Dave thought I was cool which will do.

Fair play to the chap. If I had the money, my amp room would look the same.

    Why?
    And that's the point really.

I 'get' that he has the space and money to have a few nice amps - but what's the point of having so many?

May be he's planning to hold a series of EC-type auctions over the next millennium....
