Eros were one of the better 70s copies - built in the Matsumoku factory, imported by Rosetti.  Tokai was the up market brand, Antoria and Eros in the middle, with Columbus following behind.

Around 1975, a Columbus was circa £50, and Eros and Antoria around £70.  I'm not sure if the Eros II was a later model that crossed over from the 70s into the 80s. Either way £65 is cheap for a 70s /early 80s MIJ bass.

And that headstock logo is definitely the same font as the block logo found on Tokais in 1983, the so-called lawsuit era: https://tinydemonz.files.wordpress.com/2013/02/20130206_0261.jpg

Maybe Matsumoku had a 'house font'?
