Link me to some hypnotic music.

Can't put up YouTube links as I'm on a mobile but if you like heavy hypnotic stuff, try Magma. Something from Kohntarkosz or Udu Wudu would fit the bill.

Can't link youtube either, but I'd highly recommend Stars of the Lid's Tired Sounds of Starts of the Lid album. Not metal by any stretch of the imagination, but very hypnotic, and very heavy.

edit: heavy as in weight, not heavy guitars or anything. It's mainly orchestral instruments.

I bloody love Fall of Efrafa, and being as Neurosis have already been mentioned, it would be criminal not to link to this track, just about the heaviest thing I have ever heard live -

I saw Neurosis a couple of times in the 90s. Second time they opened with Cleanse. All of them playing drums to multiple projections of looped film clips and animations was mind blowing.

Of course there are plenty of side projects that go with. Tribes of Neurot, Blood and Time and more.

Ballache to post links from my phone but have a look at Mugstar. I have the pleasure of occasionally doing sound for them, hypnotic very much sums them up, especially when we get out with our live visuals guy in tow. They're currently in the states doing Austin Psych Fest and a few other dates around it. Utterly brilliant band.
