Blimey just come back from a UFO gig in Salisbury City Hall. Vinnie Moore on guitar- he can bloody play. Really enjoyed the gig- much better than I expected! Who else has been to a gig not expecting much and enjoying it far more than they expected?

Vinnie Moore is excellent. the new UFO album is pretty good.

We've been working with Paul Raymond - the keyboard and 2nd guitarist in UFO and I am very much looking forward to the gig.

Many guitars have a re-sale value. Some you'll never want to sell.

Vinnie Moore is a very underrated guitarist.

Ringleader of the Cambridge cartel, pedal champ and king of the dirt boxes (down to 21)

Paul Raymond randomly appeared at spun gig I was doing a few years ago and was very complimentary of my playing. Thats makes him a nice guy

I've been doing some guitar work for Paul Raymond recently

Anyway - they played a good gig in London tonight.

I know he plays a "lefty", but is it true that he has it "righty" strung?

How the devil does he manage to play like that.

I used to play in a band with a lefty guitarist who strung his guitars right handed, so they were effectively strung upside down. He learnt by borrowing his (right handed) brother's guitar and playing it upside down. He was an absolute monster player too!

I liked Vinnie Moore when I was growing up but for me Schenker is king and always will be. I struggle to get too enthusiastic about UFO without him.

This popped up on youtube the other day. 60 years old and playing like a man possessed, Good to see him getting is act together again.

A mate went last night to The Forum gig and said they were excellent and Phil Mogg was on fine form, as was Vinnie Moore, although the solo volume for the latter was extremely low and his solos weren't cutting through.

I agree Schenker is the man, saw him in the same venue last year MSG awesome. Vinnie's sound was huge and as clear as a bell but on the encore it wasn't because it wasn't going through the PA for one of the numbers! Shoot shoot the sound man! :)
