What price would you sell a CAA OD50 CL+ for?

What's Hot

Just speculative.

I need to buy a Focus ST having test driven one the other day and even though I love the CAA, it barely gets used. I mostly use my Two Rock and I still have my JCM800 which is undeniably the best amp ever built, so I'm finding the CAA a little superfluous.

It's mint, barely taken outside the house. I've been only owner from new. I've had it maybe two years.
Not a single blemish. It's literally perfect.

What sort of coin would you ask for it?

Not sure but amps of that value are a tough sell for cash right now, I'd be tempted to leave it in a shop that sells high end gear on commission until it goes at a good price. Ask a shop that sells them what they'd think they could sell at.

World Guitars sold a 50 watt OD SE and 2x12 cab for £1500 recently if that's any help.

New shape Focus ST, or the previous 5 cylinder one?

As a fellow CAA owner (have a PT50) the only problem with them is the resale isn't great because people don't really know them, they have a small market and people want a bargain buying used.

If you get £1500 then you would deb doing well but people tend to want to pay £1300 or so.

    The facelifted 5 pot.

Don't like the new 2.0 ones.

Those ST's are a great drive, good mixture of actual car and actual performance, I prefered the wild nature of the Octavia VRS over the Focus, but I think when the Octavia loses grip, it'll lose it in a massive way!

Forget ST's and VRS's lads - theres only one vehicle for a man with an amp ;)

Isn't the Octavia heavier and less powerful than the Focus?

According to Parkers a ST3 5 door is 1437kg, a 5 door Octavia VRs 1360kg. Skoda has less power, but much more efficient engine (if that matters!)

Haven`t driven either - bought a 147 GTA back in the day instead. Still miss it :-(

I had a diesel Vrs which felt faster than my old mkv golf gti. The new Octavia is lighter too with more power!

Ah right. The auto trader ads I saw had the Skoda at 197bhp and about +- 50kg heavier than the Focus.
