I picked a mode I didn't know from a stack of scale, mode and arpeggio flash cards. Wrote a phrase using it, then looped it and jammed over the top of it using the notes from that mode.

Trying to keep playing time to a minimum as I am supposed to be studying, but that was really, really fun. And I'm confident that I now know that shape it's left me on a real high after playing that actually!
