Guitar Star - London Jazz Performances (Audience)

'Guitar Star' is an exciting new talent competition coming to Sky Arts this Summer. Our team have scoured the UK and Ireland for incredible rock, classical, jazz and acoustic guitarists of all ages to take part in the series, for a chance to perform live on the main stage at the 10th Latitude festival this summer. Fronted by Edith Bowman, the show has so far seen thousands of hopefuls whittled down to just 16 who will now compete in our heat stages. Performing in iconic venues associated with their genre, the guitarists will be mentored by some of the world's biggest guitar stars who will be present at the show-stopping heat performances.

We're going to commence with our Jazz heat, featuring four fantastic, versatile jazz guitarists. Each player will have an opportunity to perform two different pieces in front of our industry experts and mentors, with only one of them going through to the Semi Finals.

The Jazz Heat will be held at Ronnie Scott’s (47 Frith Street, Soho, London, W1D 4HT) on Friday 22nd May. Audience members are asked to arrive at 11:45AM and the day will finish at 4PM. Please email guitar@somethinelse.com if you would like to be on the guest list.
