Floyd Rose Trems and the 12" radius

If you have a guitar neck with a 12" to 16" compound radius neck, how does having a FR trem with, I believe, a 12" radius work?

Someone must know? I mean I thought that  the radius would get larger at the bridge.

Shim the outer saddles if it becomes an issue. I've never found it to be a problem to be honest.

The saddle can be shimmed if needed.

The bridge radius does need to match the fretboard radius, although its worth confirming the actual radii used on the fretboard. If its 12" at the nut and 16" at the 24th fret it will be even flatter by the time it gets to the bridge.

Never really gave it any thought. My Jackson SDX has a 12-16" compound and a Floyd and there are no playability issues whatsoever. In fact quite the opposite, it plays beautifully

Same with my Charvel. Never had a problem.
