Why won't gibson make a les paul standard or a traditional for that matter than has no fancy crap on it in a gold top?! I couldn't afford one back in 2013 and now i can't find a secondhand one, then when i do they're that desirable that they're close to the "new" price. 

sorry, i had to vent here as it's something that's annoyed me for some time now.

Buy used - second hand prices are way down on a few years ago.

You could probably pick-up an R7 used for the price of a new production model.

i did see that, but sadly finance is what i need right now as the credit card is off limits

That's a very good price for a LP, if you can't afford that then you will never afford a new one sadly. The prices are going up and up, much quicker than inflation.

it's not that i can't afford it, it's that i can't save money!
