Why on earth make it with such a large body silhouette when weight was always going to be a problem?
Same as for all the other faults - lack of thought about what the finished product would be like. They just took the same design they had already and made it in perspex.

One benefit of a transparent guitar is that you could adopt the Paisley Tele approach by Blu Tacing a different piece of wall paper to the back of it for every gig.

I might take that idea to the Dragons' Den....

True, enlarged belly button isnt a great look in my book, although bigger nipples might be passable!

90s Yamahas had a model that you could remove entire scratchplate and decoate with posters etc.

Didn't Dan Armstrong do a perspex guitar?

That green one is cool. Bit too showy for my tastes, but cool regardless.

I saw the front man of Osibisa playing a transparent bass at Brunel University, probably 1977 or 1978. Superb band, absolutely WIKKID RIDDIMS! Thing is, he was so stoned he could hardly stand up, his eyes were like slits in a pig. How he managed to play in that state I really don't know but him and the whole band were brilliant.

    What a great live band!
Really got the crowd moving like I've rarely seen with other bands.
