Help me identify my bass!

Hi guys, 

I've recently acquired a 1984 ESP Custom Shop bass, it's been valued by PMT Leeds at £1200 - but that is the extent of my knowledge on her! I've heard rumors it may be a model from the Wayne Charvel Lawsuit? It has a 7 digit serial number - 1016011 , a flame (maple?) top, stained (mahogany?) back, 1 piece maple neck with a skunk stripe, PJ pickup layout  

Any information that you guys can glean would be greatly appreciated!

But seriously folks, other than the obvious "it's an ESP", the body shape brings to mind the often under represented Fender Telecaster bass.  This was the main bass for ZZ Top bassist Dusty Hill throughout the 70's.
