     I'm not keen on those badges they put on the custom shop posh ones so I'd want to replace that. It's a bit - look how much i paid for this...

    Thanks @Trotter. I've always fancied a wraparound. Think I might be a secret top-wrapper.

    @Trotter - either looks just as good, provided that if it's off, you remove the switch ring too.

    @John_P - Definitely off

    Top wrapping is only good if the neck angle requires a high bridge setting, otherwise it makes the break angle too shallow and the string tension & tone suffers

    Curiosity makes me ask - is the fifth fret inlay a different colour?
    And if so , what's the story on that?

    @FelineGuitars was waiting for someone to notice that. The fifth fret marker randomly abandoned ship at a show earlier in the year. i've been looking for a replacement for a while without resorting to buying a whole set. Until then, this one is retired from live use. I was speaking to another chap at a festival the other day who had exactly the same thing happen with his r7 too! bizarre!

    Do you still have the inlay or did it disappear?
    If you still have it, then it could be refitted, or a replica cut from some mother of pearl - or acrylic pearloid

    @felineGuitars unfortunately not, it flew out somewhere mid set :( it's looking increasingly likely that i will have to buy a set which sucks.

    Finger plate always on as it gives me somewhere to rest my pinky on a carved top (the original reason) plus of course they look better.

    Oh, and I top wrap too.
    :)
