Ltd h1001 for cheap

Had this guitar for several years, Korean made, maple neck, rosewood bound board, mahogany body with a maple cap (not sure if it's a veneer or solid with a veneer on top).

This guitar is excellent - amazing action, big frets, very comfortable, great sustain and tone. Carved neck heel is amazing!

I chose it over various other super strats, vs and les pauls at the time and it's still a cracker.

The electronics fell apart - so I'm going to rewire it
Hopefully I'll be using a 3 way crl switch, and ream the pot holes for cts pots for standard humbucker wiring with a volume and tone, as well as replacing the import jack with a switchcraft one (which will probably need a new plate as the dimensions are different).

Apologies for bad pictures, my phone camera has a lot of issues... But I'm happy to upload more later.

Specs:

25.5 inch scale
Tonepros locking bridge, string through body
Duncan custom 5 bridge pickup
Duncan jazz neck pickup
Carved heel
Locking tuners (seem very reliable, never had any issues)
Earvana compensated nut

Capable of shred but versatile - the pickups are not too bonkers.

It'll take a few days until I can fix the electronics but it will be a big upgrade in terms of component quality if it all fits. If not, I'll replace with the best quality import stuff I can find (cts pots will definitely be present though).

£250 and it's yours. I think that's a good price for what you get, but if I'm being daft, please let me know :)

The only thing daft is how cheap the price is!

Seriously, anyone with £250 in the bank should just buy this. If I didn't already have ESP/LTD superstrats coming out of my ears I'd be throwing my money at you right now.

Couple of things you didn't mention, it's a set-through neck, so you get the body wood tone of a set neck and the sustain of a through neck - best of both worlds. Also that huge belly cut will be so comfortable it will feel like the guitar is a part of you!

    consider this a bump.

  • Cheers man! It's a great guitar, but could use a little love. I don't play it in favour of my strat and jazzmaster these days, but it's a versatile rock machine. I have another rawk machine in my prs alike, so I'm releasing funds for another guitar partscaster project - this needs a new home.

Plus protest the hero used to use one. Awesome, right?
