I've had a fr420 that was ash body. Really nice guitar

I have to say I had never encountered the FR stuff in any capacity before this one popping up in the classifieds. This one is a SERIOUSLY nice guitar as well, action could maybe be lower but the frets are wonderfully polished and the body is just super resonant. The neck is killer too! I dont usually love ibanez necks, i just live with them. But this is actually a seriously nice neck, sorta a really soft Dish profile but honestly it just disappears when you play and lets you get on with the important bits.

Im gonna be really sad to have to give it to its real owner might have to get an FR320 of my own.

I had an MK Patriot Custom.  Really good value at around £250 new.  As with all guitars at that price point, it would have benefited from a few upgrades, but the tone and build quality were decent.

That's what I was going to suggest - in fact, a Series 2 (sapele mahogany, HH, super-fast neck) would probably fit the bill perfectly. I'm not sure if he's got any Series 2s left - I know he's discontinuing the model shortly - but it's definitely worth talking to @Jaden about it if you've got £900 burning a hole. You won't find a better guitar with those specs for the money; everybody who's played mine wants one.

An early Godin LG with the old Godin pickups (made by Schaller). It has mahogany body and neck and a slim neck. Made in USA/Canada and really nice build for the money.
