Junior vs junior special

I'm very tempted to pull the trigger on a single cut lp junior (wraparound/single dogear etc) but i have a junior special already.
The lp junior has always been one of my favourite guitars.
Now apart from the obvious hardware differences between the two are they similar sounding or entirely different beasts?
Anyone ever compare the two together?

Well, if it was mine, it's gone, but having had both, I thought the special was much nicer, more comfortable, and the 2 p90's were very nice, plus you have the in-between settings and it looks cooler. Horses for courses, but my special is on the 'wish i hadn't sold it' list, and the other one wasn't!

Single pickup guitars just look cooler, so it's worth it for that alone.
