I like it - it's different and not too FUSIONY like a lot of modern guitarists (god I'm really starting to hate that modern fusion music). I think this has some musical hooks. 

What kind of guitar is that?

It's a bit like brain food for musicians. 

Must admit though (and I hate to considering I'm doing an instrumental album) I really prefer simple riffs/hooks with some soaring vocals with just one guitar solo section - instrumental music isn't doing it for me these days! Well done to the guy, though! Clearly an accomplished player.
