Neck profile is 60s but not the silly super skinny one. Its a very comfortable neck a lot smaller than my 59 335 historic. Recognise your name i think my uncle Steve built an amp for you?

I've got one and they are fabulous!  That's an incredible price too and now I think about how much I paid for my beauty last December...  I feel more than a little nauseous  X_X

I bought the non Vibrola version of this earlier in the year and they are great guitars and whatever they do with the varitone these days with those pickups really gives you an amazing range of quick to dial in blues and rock tones. Play mine everyday the neck might be on a 60s reissue but it has some meat on it compared to the les Paul 60,s reissues.

its a custom plate they put on them over the tailpiece studs

Have you had a peek under that plate to see what's under it?  Can't bring myself to check of mine just in case I f%^k it up!!

Any idea how is the plate held in the studs?

its just pinned over the tailpiece studs
