    @Sassafras actually it's not far off, a little fettling needed like rounding off the fretboard edges and a light polish for the frets and it will.

    Well after a fret dressing and sorting out the huge fret ends this is a very decent guitar indeedy! Sporting a set of 10-52's.
    Maple veneer over I think a 4 or 5 piece maple body, bright as you would expect and the stock p90 @10.5kohm is business like, sounds ok but this being my first p90 (I know!) I don't have much to compare it against.
    Could be time to start looking at other pickup options, to see what I do and don't like, starting low budget I guess, any recommendations at the lower end?

     so if you fancy a reissue of a guitar they never made in a colour they never used then it probably isn't too overpriced.

    The original plan was to refinish this in tv yellow, but the burst isn't too bad and there's not a mark anywhere in the finish, seems a shame to disturb it tbf.
