Recommend me some tele pickups

Looking to upgrade, it's an American FSR with the greasebucket circuit, I'm finding the pickups slightly "meh" though, and quiet too, need a bit more beef. Mainly use it for jazz gigs and orchestra pit work. My preference is a thick warm neck sound and a crystal clear (but not harsh) bridge. Thinking Bill Frisell (without the chops). Cheers!

I would explain to Ash at Oil City or the chaps at Crash Magnetics (both on here) what you're after and I doubt you'll be disappointed. I have Tele pickups from them both and they're superb.

Funnily enough I've just had a good chinwag with Ash, looking like that's where I'm heading.

I have a BKP Blackguard Flat 50 set in my Tele.  Expensive, but really good.

Top choice at the mo from Oil City is Californian in the neck and Forty Niner in the bridge. Proper lush!

I've also fitted a four way switch to get neck and bridge in series, that should help with the jazzy stuff.

    BKP Sidewinder.

    SD Quarter Pounder.

    Mojo Broadcaster.

All bridge position for me I'm afraid, but v good.

I've yet to order from Ash, but will, so anything he does is a no brainer.
