    The Bigsby was the first successful design of what is now called a whammy bar or tremolo arm, although vibrato is the technically correct term for the musical effect it produces. In standard usage, tremolo is a rapid fluctuation of the volume of a note, while vibrato is a fluctuation in pitch. The origin of this nonstandard usage of the term by electric guitarists is attributed to Leo Fender, who also used the term “vibrato” to refer to what is really a tremolo effect.

    Re selling TC- it's the EQD Sea Machine that's kicked it off.

    The EQD is sublime. So many great great tones in there and it does Summers/The Wall liquidy flange/chorus like nothing I've ever heard.

    I also bought the Phaser- that's bloody epic too. Blown away by the quality.

    I also heard a Vicks Audio Rams' head last week - amazing for 129 dollars. I have lent my Cornish P1 to the Aussie Floyd Show for 6 months as Dave Fowler was having issues and his need is greater than mine- also it cheers me that it's playing stadiums night after night for the music it's meant for.

    I bought the Vicks. It honestly stunned me how good it was. I'll report when it arrives.
