Birmingham/West Midlands luthiers for nut replacements

I just got back my old 70s Stratocaster after a 12 year absence and it's all perfect bar the nut, which looks like someone cut it in with a ripsaw. The top E is unplayable and the rest are near useless. Can anyone recommend a good luthier in Birmingham who is good at nut replacements? Cheers.

Other person is John Diggins, although chances are John himself won't do the work as he has a little team there.

If you wanted a trip into Staffordshire there's Jamie Davey ( spll?) who does work for Status Quo and Robert Fripp, IIRC, and others.

I've been to John diggin's shop, his son and one other chap does most of the work these days. Set up my telecaster well.

JayDee is the place to take it, John's sons Mike & Andy run the show now as John has semi retired due to health.

Mike and Andy have been there for years and Mike recently refretted my '55 Junior, a superb job, including rebuilding and recutting the original nut.

Jamie Davey - top bloke, very friendly, based near Wolverhampton.

    Builds guitars for Status Quo.

Went round there recently and he had a few of Robert Fripp's guitars in for work!

I think he's gone. The tech working out of there now is called Phil Docker who does the guitars and fixes amps.
