On a Midtown Custom in burst like this...

I got it B Stock so was cheaper than the ebony and the whole point is to have a good, versatile working mans 'bucker guitar so I'm not too worried if there a bit of rash on it and it is a lot prettier and will match my Kotzen Tele on gigs... Not sure of that's a good thing.

Now we wait...

Yeah I'd totally resigned my cheap ass to the ebony, after all it was meant to be a bargain, but when I finally went to pull the trigger the B Stock burst was there so what do you know.

Will get a wee demo up when it comes. If anyone has any requests of what sort of tones you'd like it to tackle then let me know

There's something about those Midtowns that hits me right in the GAS gland.

    Lovely guitar.

BTW "Cheap ass" and "pull the trigger", are you an American by any chance?

Nice one. How do you get on with the slim neck compared with the neck on the Kotzen Tele?

Sorry dude it's not arrived yet! I said it was like the one in pic, sorry if it wasn't clear.

I will let you know how the neck is though. To be honest I don't really have a neck preference. All my guitars are wildly different and differently setup depending on what I use them for. As long as it doesn't feel cheap and nasty... Which incidentally I found to have nothing to do with price after trying about half a dozen ES-175 last year and settling on an Eastman that cost little over a grand

So yeah I'm pretty pleased to be honest. I haven't really gotten off the volume-rolled-back in-betweeny sound. There's a lot of woody pop to the guitar as I was hoping for. The Burstbuckers are a lot higher output than I thought they were going to be considering the blurb but I can live with it. The richlite is fine, don't notice it. Tunes well, necks decent, it feels familiar. Could maybe do with have the finish removed but we'll see what a bit of sweat does to rove the polish. Happy camping so far :)
