Definitely real. Looks a good no nonsense LP.

No idea on pickups- I assume he means Kent Armstrong, which are generally pretty reasonable. Wouldn't cost silly money to put custom Oil Citys in to get whatever sound you want if you don't like them.

And the Hiscox is a good sign as it usually implies an owner who looks after his stuff!

Don't know about pickups but I'd definitely change the pickguard or better still, remove it completely.
