ANGD (Another New Gretsch Day) - My new baby!

After falling in love with the Gretsch G6118T 2008 Anniversary that I got from @BillKat earlier this month I managed to bag myself this beauty today:

It's a Gretsch G62120AM (Amber Maple) and should be in my clutches early next week - I'm over the moon!

Mrs R has already bought me a lovely Takamine F250SM acoustic for my upcoming 50th - this is a present to myself!

Can't wait!!!

Didn't know Gretsch did figured maple tops. Looks good but unusual, I think I prefer the painted ones but I'd be happy with either.

Things I don't usually like include gold hardware and flamed maple tops, however that is just utterly beautiful and I may just have to change my stance on gold hardware as a direct result.

Fully restored by myself back in about 2006 (the only thing I didn't do was the paint job). It was the third Lambretta I'd restored, the other two I did in 1997/98 but sold them in 2002 and regretted it, so I go this one!

Whilst I like Lambrettas, mod music and fashion I don't really consider myself to be a mod. After all I was a punk in the 70s and a goth in the 80s!

I prefer not to pigeonhole myself if I can as I do have quite eclectic taste.
