Here's what you do, post two songs which are "related" in some way and we have to guess the connection

Like this - what links these two tracks/bands?

The Mooney Suzuki - Alive & Amplified

Can - Oh Yeah

Answer - The Mooney Suzuki got their name from the two singers from the band Can  - Malcolm Mooney and Damo Suzuki.

Clever huh!

Your turn..

Indeed. I heard he only got £30 for doing the Lou Reed song, despite writing the bass riff.

    Ciccone Youth

The Madonna-influenced Sonic Youth side-project...they recorded covers of "into The Groove" and (I think) "Burning Up".  Still have their "The Whitey Album" somewhere.

@DesVegas - Looks like it's just you and me on this one...

...the answer is Big Black...to be more specific, they covered both songs, and released them together as the A and B sides of their final single release before splitting up...

Oooh, have I sunk this thread? I'll give the game away... both of those ^ tracks have Deen Castronovo on drums*.

*He's not on the original recording of Don't Stop Believing, I posted the 2008 re-recording.
