For a while I used a BD-2 in to a 70s JMP - sounded huge

Into the low input, basically anything will sound great. That channel especially in conjunction with g12 65s I find quite smooth so something like a rat or sd-1 is killer.

I use a stock bd2. Love it. Though I must admit I'm very tempted to try one of fredric's Klones.

My faves in this application (clean'ish base amp tone)...

Low Gain - XTS Precision Multidrive, Timmy

High Gain - XTS Atomic, Carl Martin Plexitone

Clean Boost - XTS Tejas and/or Pegasus Boost

XTS I cant see past them, but for a different flavour I use the above alternatives

I used a Fulltone OCD with my 50 watt JCM. It sounds great when using the low input. Just as well because the high input is just too darned loud. Shame because it sounds amazing.
