I need a bass in order to finish off some songs and write parts in future. I decided to go for a short-scale bass (which usually have thin jazz necks as I understand). Unfortunately I don't think Yamaha do short scale basses. I was looking at the sub £200 level. I tried a few... an epiphone, an Ibanez GSRM and a Squier vintage modified short-scale Jaguar. In short, the jaguar was the best sounding, best feeling and best looking one. Now I need a case, spare strings etc! It's actually quite fun to play a bit of bass!
