Nifty tuners/screwless mounting

TimmyOTimmyO Frets: 7688
Tuners arrived today for my Tele build.

Hipshot locking staggered ones.
They come with a mounting plate that means no screws required (attached via a threaded bushing from the front and locate agaisnt tabs on the plate to line up straight)

Nifty

Red ones are better.

I've just got the same set for my tele build too! I've had a set of the non-locking versions on my 335 for the past 18 months, very stable tuners, nice feel etc. :)

Does yours happen to have a roasted maple neck as well, or is that just a tinted satin finish perhaps?

Sounds good, very similar to mine - chunky soft V, 6100s, 12" rad.

It's just arrived an hour ago... literally 5 mins after I left to go on hols for a week!!!! :( My wife kindly sent this through to tease me though:

It looks quite plain here, but there's some lovely wild figure hiding underneath. I'm just trying to make my mind up between truoil or nitro. Here it is pre-cnc:

Nice neck , I did one recently ,oiled the body , that was fine .

Oiled the neck but didn`t like it , ended up spraying satin nitro over the Tru-Oil ,

came out fine , nice silky feel to it now.

So , personally I`d go with the oil , and if you don`t like it ...............................
