Anyone fancy my Chopper?

I have a MKII Raliegh Chopper I was going to restore, but it's never going to happen.

Although it's yellow, as far as I can remember, the frame serial suggests it's a 1978 and should have been Space blue - quite a rare colour.



The handlebars are a bit rusty now, but it will be a great basis for a strip down and restoration.  The most important part is that the seat is original and in pretty good nick.

Collection only, obviously.

Ones for resto like this tend to go between £200-300, but I'm open to offers or geetar swapsies.  I'll be sad to see it go, but there's no point it collecting rust and dust when someone else could do something really special with it.

You needed to be Geoff Capes to pull a wheelie on a Grifter.

It's like the Raliegh design department came up with a Raleigh BMX concept, and the manufacturing department had loads of heavy iron to get rid of...

I had a Purple one and it spent more time on its back wheel ..... I could wheelie for miles on it and thought I was the king. ..... until my mate was doing the sane but no handed ..... eating crisps.

I had a yellow Raleigh Chipper, but I never worked out how to use the brakes so I rode round and round in circles in the square where we lived at the time. When I wanted to stop I just crashed into a wall!
