Pure Nickel goodness

What's Hot

After 40 years of playing with "bog standard" strings I have discovered pure nickel for that fatter sound. Fitted them yesterday to my Lester and......wow.....
Wish I'd discovered them earlier. Yeah, they were a bit more expensive but the tone is so much better to my ears.
Moral of the story.....don't underestimate the benefits of the cheapest upgrade you can do to your axe.

BTW.....they are D'Addario EPN 110's

No real drawbacks - the only thing I've noticed so far is they are slightly more difficult to bend and a little less sustain but I can live with that. It depends what sound you're looking for - I wanted strings with less brightness and the pure nickels fit the bill.
