Tonight I will mostly be playing metal.

Starting a new band with a bassist and drummer I was in a metal band with about 8 years ago.  Looking forward to writing some heavier stuff (Every Time I Die / Mastodon  territory). Takes me up to 3 bands on the go.... not sure if I'll be able to keep fitting it all in.....

Will be giving my Gibson Explorer Gothic an airing.  Tuned to C# and looks like something out of Mad Max - pickguard removed, neck pickup removed, one volume control and a SD Pearly Gates. Taking an EVH 50 watt & Super Sonic 60 to see which is best and they will be going into an EVH 2x12.

I expect this will give me some good reasons to buy more stuff too which is a bonus.

The world needs more metal, music has become decidedly mediocre , but how the hell you gonna keep up with 3 bands!?

Are you use any pedals or just straight into amps?

In a heavy rock originals and a pop covers band and now this! Will probably keep it casual.

Went straight into the 5150 channel 3.

I use amp distortion mostly, just use pedals to get the tones for covers.
