I just preordered the MF Drive (sold as always by Andy at PGS) _ I bet the delay is a total wet dream too

    These look ace, give me a the drive, delay, and trem, and I could probably live with that as my board.

    I would love to hear how people think the Analog Delay sounds.  I think its great that Moog is finally making a decently priced drive pedal.  I have more than once used my Moog Envelope Filter as a drive pedal with all the other functions turned off because it sounded so lush and analogy.

    I do wish they had made the Envelope Filter as part of that range.

  • Man, that filter drive pedal sounds fantastic. The trem sounds fantastic as well, may have to indulge in that.

    This Andertons video sounds awesome.

    You can tell they are getting really inspired by the sounds that are being created. They are so good they actually stop dicking about!

    If I wasn't gigging so much I'd send you mine for a week to try - actually after chrimbo were quiet - fancy a go? It's quite eclectic

    Wow, that's a really good demo, prefer it to the PGS one.

    I LOVE the sounds, but I'd need an expression pedal with them.  I guess that's really the point though.  I can think of one really good, genuine application of the drive pedal with it's 'synthy' qualities immediately.  I would also love the ring mod...

    Best Anderton's vid I've ever seen, plus it's made me add one of those Gretsches to the top of my GAS-list!

    TVL's demo is pretty stonkin' too;

    @Travisthedog - what sort of amp/channels are you using the drive with? These demos all seem to be favouring clean channels without much/any drive from the amp?
    0reaction image LOL 0reaction image Wow! 0reaction image Wisdom
  • Straight into clean channel of supersonic then a kick with the good ol spark booster

  • Ah ok, don't suppose you've tried it with the gain channel on a low crunch?
    0reaction image LOL 0reaction image Wow! 0reaction image Wisdom
  • Not yet Its got a LOT of gan on tap but also the mellow end of the spectrum stuff is really interesting It's very much not your ordinary drive pedal

    Could someone confirm whether these work with batteries or are they external 9V only?

  • The drive pedal really interests me-especially in the tvl video. Has almost the tonal quality of a big muff, but with less gain and more clarity. That kind of grainy fuzzy gritty overdrive, as opposed to the white noise type distortion that is more common. If it can indeed do that it would be of great interest to me.
