    There are two versions of the Kemper. One is the more expensive version with a built in poweramp. This one is the cheaper version which does not have a built in poweramp.

    Just sold my rig to get one of these - primarily for home recording but if I can make it work live that would be great. Got a Victory V30 and 1x12 for pub band so don't need it live urgently. 

    What I'd like to know is, will I regret not getting a powered one? I will mainly be using it to do home recording and jam tracks etc (Solo of the Month too!) but eventually use live too. With the new firmware and cabless (direct) profiles - can you run this in a head into a cab or is it really best to go power amp/FRFR?

    Aye - considering how it sounds it will last many years for recording options even if "bigger and better" comes along! Just need Drew to see the thread - prob on tour :p Really like the TNBD stuff I heard on BandCamp

    The powered version is 600w - so maybe good for largish gigs - not so for home playing.

    I'd really like a Kemper like this but having had to spend a fortune on the cat's vet bills this week, it will have to wait a little
