Lost a friend today.

Devastated. Just heard that one of my oldest friends who was the father of one of my oldest and closest friends lost his fight with cancer. Gutted. Just finished his course of chemo and it was all looking good when they said it wasn't going away and it was just a matter of how long. That turned out to be about three weeks. Really thought he was going to pull through it. He was a great keys player and I did my first gigs with him and his son on drums when I was 15 in the social clubs. Gonna get pissed now.

Yip. Cancer. Total cunt. Some people advise getting pissed isn't the best route. Having dealt with a family bereavement (to the cunt cancer) meself this month, I can assure you, it is. Drink on.

Alkyhol may not be a good long term coping mechanism for dealing with the loss of a loved one, but when me and my brother got home after being with my Mum in her final moments before that cvnt cancer finally took her from us we got totally fucking wasted. Helped at the time, as I'm sure you can understand right now.

Sounds like a right good fellah, be sure and celebrate his life when the time is right. My deepest sympathies.
