Possibly the worst song this year. Don't like the lyrics, sounds very generic, just utter garbage (in my opinion).

This is funny, because after hearing AGAIN on the radio yesterday I was almost driven to writing a thread about it. Terrible lyric, atrocious song. Sounds like Jive Bunny going through their difficult phase. Hateful.

its pop-by-numbers. however i dare say that the (team of) writers were more concerned with musical tastes of millions of worldwide teeny boppers who have purchased it more so than your average fretboarder
    How very rock and roll

Normally I'd have absoloutely no idea what you were on about - I completely lost track of the UK "singles" charts about 15 years ago - but I just happen to have heard this the other day.

    It is bloody awful.

I do wonder how the late Mr Gaye would feel about being turned into a verb.

It's shite.  Cobbled together by some unimaginative writer who thought it would be cool to name check someone famous and one of their songs.  And seized upon by a fucked music business desparate to maximize profit at the expense of everything else.

    Shite. Shite. Shite. Shite. Shite.

And it feeds the vacuous heads of today's young with the idea that this shite is really like happening and cool and groovy and important which given how shite, unoriginal and bland it actually is, is wrong.

    Catchy though.

Absolutely terrible song. Not many songs make me angry, but this is one of them.

But, the good thing, hopefully, will be that it gets younger listeners checking out Marvin Gaye's classics.

It's a cringeworthy title. The song itself wouldn't have been so bad if it had a decent lyrics and was sung by someone who can sing.

The bizare thing is how it sounds nothing like a Marvin Gaye song. I mean obviously it was never gonna clear that bar in terms of quality, but you'd expect at least a marvin gaye sample or something.

But then again, considering the shit Robin Thicke got for that...

It's horrible.   It's rated as one of the worst singles ever on RYM.

He would hardly Adam and Eve it. ;)
I play guitar because I enjoy it rather than because I’m any good at it

It is complete shit, but the one with the Jackson 5 sample is worse.
