SOLD: PRS NF-3

Beautiful guitar, arguably the ultimate super-Strat given the versatility available from the Narrowfield pickups combined with PRS's wide range volume and tone pots.  Korina body so nice and lightweight, blends into your body even more than a Strat and has Pattern Regular neck profile.

I'm not using it enough at the moment though so would rather sell it on to free up funds for future GAS.  Not really looking for trades, but might consider Gibson, MusicMan, Suhr, Tom Anderson suggestions...

There are some terrific professional reviews available on YouTube, and quite a few where the magazines use an NF-3 to demo amps and pedals.

Thanks guys.  It plays, feels and sounds as good as it looks too.  NF-3s are a hidden gem in the PRS range.

Great guitars these. I had one with a rosewood board (I think it may be the one advertised on World Guitars website). Very well put together and big sounding. Necks on these are sublime; they have an 'unfinished' feel that makes them a joy to play.  Unbelieveable price too.

Yep. Thats my old one I am pretty sure.  I don't think its too overpriced considering what CS strats are going for used. But it does demonstrate what a bargain yours is!

Has anyone found a review or demo with Narrow Field pickups with loads of gain?

 Think classic rock and up. I've looked high and low and only found slightly unfocused noodling with the tinyist smidgen of gain

In a Studio but its the same pickups apart from the bridge. Also studio is mahog, not Korina

They perform very well under high gain. Very quiet, no squeal and good string definition.

I had a swamp ash special with 3 NF pups and yes it does a sterling job with high gain. The volume control is amazing with those pups as well.

Another blooming bargain.

Here's a video of Jimmy Herring showing what an NF-3 can do. I used to be a huge fan of John McLaughlin and appreciate that he's probably in a sphere of musicianship way beyond my ken, but I'd much rather listen to Jimmy nowadays.
