SOLD : Ernie Ball Music Man Axis Sport SSS ***Price Drop***

MajorscaleMajorscale Frets: 1571
edited November 2015 in Guitars £
For sale is my 1999 Ernie Ball Music Man Axis Sport SSS in mint condition. This model was in production for one year only and is exceedingly rare. It features a nicely figured maple neck with the EBMM oil/wax finish, 3 custom dimarzio single coils and a swamp ash body. The 5 way toggle engages the bridge and neck in the middle position for Tele twang! This has been one of my favourite guitars for years but I'm having to downsize my collection. Comes with luxury EBMM gig bag.

SOLD Now £749 ovno collection from Reading, Berkshire or posted at cost.

  • Thanks @spark240. Like all EBMMs the quality and playability are high. I will miss this one if it sells.

  • Great looking guitar, even though I am a confirmed Trem user. I'm amazed you've managed to keep the thing in such mint condition, let alone the fretboard so clean!

Good luck with the sale .

Thanks @ElectroDan, I'm a bit OCD about the condition of my gear as others on this board who have purchased from me will testify! It's a great guitar and I will miss it if it sells.

What's the battery for?  Silent circuit?

@Philly_q yes that's a silent circuit, it powers a dummy coil to remove that hum you normally get from single coils pickups. Just to confirm, the battery does not power the pickups, they are passive custom Dimarzios, so the guitar works fine with or without the battery.

@MatthewShreddery, thanks but I'm not after trades right now.

I'd be tempted, I had one of these - HH version, but otherwise the same specs - many years ago and I'd have to say in terms of build quality, attention to detail it was the best guitar I've ever owned.

But.... I just wish the necks were a bit fatter!!
