Since we began running the Luthier clinics  http://www.wudtone.com/shop/?wpsc_product_category=clinics ; we have been asked to help source some professional, top quality nut files. If there is one critical task that needs the right tool for the job,  cutting nut slots is it. We've have tried the usual candidates and these are the best value we have ever found in a set of high quality Swiss made nut files. Includes a set of six , flat , rounded edge ( with cuts on both edges) joint files that cut slots accurately, freely without binding and that will last and last. 0.3mm string gauge 009-010

0.4mm string gauge 011-013

0.5mm string gauge 015-017

0.7mm string gauge 026-030

1.0mm string gauge 040-042

1.2mm string gauge 048-052

these will cover doing 9's and 10's 11-52 's accurately?  Wider strings eg 56's can be managed with a bit of 600 grit sandpaper wrapped around a smaller file and the width of the slot increased to suit.

Can you not sell them singly?

They look similar to my Hosco nut files and quite a bit cheaper, these will pay for themselves in 3 small jobs, so a bit of a no-brainer. This is definitely one of those cases of " the right tool for the job"
