Anyone hear the new David Gilmour album yet

It was reviewed on RTE radio last evening. Two reviewers listened to it. Reviewer 1 said it sounded almost exactly as Pink Floyd even though Gilmour said he wanted to leave the Floyd years behind him. The lyrics, written by Mrs Gilmour are banal and poor. Rating 2.5 out of 5.0. Reviewer 2 said that the guitar solos are too long and self indulgent. Agreed with Reviewer 1 re: lyrics being poor. Rating 1.5 out of 5.0.

I've only listened to it twice - so my opinion may change - but it does seem to lack tunes. It seems very uneventful - in much the same way as 'The Endless River'.

And I wish someone would take his Whammy pedal off him. Since Marooned, he seems to have had one surgically implanted in his foot....

I really like it. 5am is beautiful and Faces like a stone I think it is just has one of those chord progressions you could solo over forever.

Sounded epic live too.
