Frodo: That's a long way .. three films worth of long way
Ghandalf: I'll get the eagles to fly you - takes about 20 minutes .. you can be there and back before lunch
Frodo: OK ...

Six hours of film becomes a 20 minute short and Sean Bean doesn't get killed.
