Basically had a bit of a nightmare on eBay and as such got my money back. So now looking for something at £400ish delivered.

Not really got anything specific in mind, Fender-ish maybe but has to have a neck on the thicker side of life. I liked the '52RI Tele I had once upon a time which seemed relatively chunky, could've done with a Bigsby though. :-)  I also loved the EJ strat I tried so I guess I like soft v necks. I won an Ibanez SV5470 on eBay but I've gome off that idea now but I'm open to ideas. TV Yellow DC specials are cool too. 

Meh, dunno, wanna get some wood and wire in my life so throw me any ideas. 

*by the way, none of the guitars I talk about above I expect at that price obviously, just thinking out loud.*

I'm just looking at that JD, seems to get a good write up and has the right neck but doesn't really grab me. I will keep reading up and looking for demos. Cheers.

How's about a 1997 RG550 Ltd with upgraded Dimarzio pups?

Great condition, absolute beast of a player that rivals my custom instruments. I just have too many guitars so have to move a couple.

Afraid Floyds and the Roland stuff is not for me. The Jooky is as always, very tasty looking. I remember seeing it before. I'll have an in depth perv.

I wouldn't off it for sale, but have agreed to buy an ES195, and could do with extra dosh.

@Deijavoo - My Dean Avalanche is a nice Fender type with a nice, rounded neck. Korean made and a fair bit cheaper than £400 too

I don't have any for sale but within your budget maybe look out for:

Chunky U neck - MiM 69 Thinline Tele
V Neck - MiM 50's Classi Strat

I've owned both and still got a 69. I'd probably only get rid If I had the dosh to replace it with a nice newer spec lightweight AVRI 52.

That's beautiful. A couple hundred quid beyond where I can reach though (and it's already priced keenly too) I'm afraid mate.
