    No.

If you can't get a signed-for, tracked courier service you can't protect yourself against any chargeback scam, even if you could I think the address has to be 'Paypal Verified' or something which may not apply to Poland in order to get the protection (there are only a few countries which it does), you're totally at the mercy of the shipping company for damage even if the buyer is honest, and good luck trying to pursue any sort of claim in Poland.

This is no offence to Poles, it's just the way it is with international shipping to all bar a tiny handful of countries. Don't ever send something you can't afford to lose.

I sold an amp to someone in Hungary with no problems. They paid and arranged for the courier too which is a must really.

Not on an eBay sale, unless they pay by bank transfer. If they arrange the courier you have no way of proving delivery and are open to a PayPal / eBay reversal. Very bad idea.

  • I have had issues with selling items to Eastern Europe on Ebay, on the few occasions I have sold, I had the buyers complaining about the items, and wanting refunds, complaining about shipping costs, bombarding me with emails. The items were fine with no issues just some real PITA buyers.

    Never again

  • No, never go outside of the U.K. when selling is my advice.

  • I was selling an amp on ebay a few years ago.

A chap from Poland REALLY wanted to buy it, but I had listed it as UK only and I stuck to that.  He was fine with that and understood.  A few days later the auction ends and is won by a bloke in Southampton with a distinctly Polish name.  The transaction all went though smoothly and of course the chap in Southampton was a mate of the original guy and sent it over to him.  i was very pleased it went to someone who was so enthusiastic about it.

Resourceful lot the Poles, I haven't met one yet that didn't deserve a lot of respect.

Quick question as to how you managed to dig up a thread from 3 years ago and then just comment "No......never."

Well I want to know if it was sent or not.

Personally I wouldn't post anything that big/heavy through eBay, collect or fuck off.
